Ethics

The Ethical Leadership for Public Trust a study in the best practices for public officials presented by Thomas Shanks PhD.

The leadership class enjoyed a real life example of ethics and values.
The starting point was an exercise choosing three core values from a long list.
One by one each class member stood to share his or her #1 core value. The great thing about an exercise like this: a glimpse of the real person and minds-eye of the class member. Being good sports the class members shared the chosen #1 core value while the rest of the class applauded the choice. A nice topic of discussion with the added dynamic of a class skit representing the ethical and unethical handling of public election materials.
Questions of how much information is too much? What do these issues of unethical tactics used in elections do to our communities? See the post under film short for a taste of the session.
